The Walking Dead: Essential Richonne Episodes
Rick and Michonne aren't just "the ones who live" — together, they're Richonne. Though their relationship never turned romantic in the comic books, the coupling of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) on the TV series outlived The Walking Dead itself: their indomitable love story spawned the new spinoff series The Ones Who Live. And it all started with baby formula. The episode, "Hounded," aired midway through the third season in 2012 and was the first time Rick and Michonne set eyes on each other. "I never thanked you. For getting me out there that day, taking me in," Michonne later told Rick in "Welcome to the Tombs," after she arrived at the prison with the formula that Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) scavenged for baby Judith. "If you didn't have that baby formula," Rick replied, "I wouldn't have." When Michonne countered that Rick "could have just taken the formula" and left the katana-wielding woman outside the prison's gates, Rick said: "It must have been something else, then." It was Rick's son, Carl (Chandler Riggs), who made the call. "He said you belonged here. You're one of us." In anticipation of Rick and Michonne's reunion in The Walking…- 18

He's injured but strong." A History of Helicopters on The Walking Dead
When Morales nicknamed Rick Grimes "helicopter boy" in the first season of The Walking Dead, the moniker originated from the sheriff's deputy's attempt to signal a helicopter flying over Atlanta during the early days of the zombie apocalypse. This mission became possible after Jadis/Anne (Pollyanna McIntosh) saved Rick's life and handed him over to the CRM. While Jadis facilitated Rick's connection to this broader world, helicopters have consistently featured throughout The Walking Dead, beginning with the first episode.Season 1 Episode 1: "Days Gone Bye"Waking from an abandoned hospital, Rick ventured past a desolate graveyard of military hardware, including a black helicopter. As he rode into the zombie-infested Atlanta, the reflection of an operational helicopter caught his eye.Season 2 Episode 13: "Beside the Dying Fire"The Season 2 finale opened with walkers amassing in Atlanta, having followed the helicopter spotted by…- 31

The Walking Dead Lawsuit Update
Federal Judge Fernando Aenlle-Rocha denied AMC's motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by "The Walking Dead" producers Robert Kirkman and Gale Anne Hurd. The lawsuit alleges discrepancies in profit sharing between AMC and the producers. It would be illogical to interpret the MFN provisions in a way that allows Defendants to provide greater compensation to Darabont and CAA through a settlement agreement without offering the same benefit to Plaintiffs. Such an interpretation would be contrary to the parties' expectations when entering into the agreements. The Darabont and CAA case was settled three years ago, resulting in a $200 million settlement for the ex-showrunner and management agency with AMC.Plaintiffs are entitled to similar treatment as Darabont regarding his MAGR interests. This includes the same valuation applied to their MAGR interests, which collectively exceed Darabont's and CAA's. Consequently, Plaintiffs are entitled to a substantial payment from AMC, exceeding $200 million, the exact amount to be determined at trial. In 2022, Kirkman, Hurd, Alpert, Eglee, and Mazzara initiated legal action against AMC, accusing the company of withholding substantial payments.Despite claiming billions in profit from The Walking Dead franchise thanks to Plaintiffs' ideas and services, AMC initially issued a MAGR definition that would have denied them any…- 17

MacGruber Director Jorma Taccone Teases Next Sequel
Despite many Saturday Night Live sketches being adapted into films, few have achieved the cultural impact of MacGruber. Originating as a sketch in 2007, the franchise spawned a movie and a television series debuting in 2021. Reports indicate a written script for a second season of MacGruber, but it remains unproduced. "I believe the natural progression is a Broadway musical."Taccone discussed the "point at anything" scene from the *MacGruber* movie, emphasizing its ability to elevate a film with iconic moments.Taccone revealed that their limited filming time made that particular scene significant. Despite the scene's humor, they spent considerable time perfecting it, with Taccone recalling numerous takes due to its hilarity. Coincidentally, Todd Phillips was present during the filming, and Taccone recalls feeling reassured by his apparent approval. He acknowledged that the scene was unconventional for someone to encounter and question the film's…- 27
