Former Hulk Actor Disappoints in Response to Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo

Amidst speculations about jaw-dropping cameos in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” actor Eric Bana has confirmed that he will not reprise his role as Bruce Banner / Hulk from the 2003 “Hulk” movie. Speaking on The Jess Cagle Show, Bana stated, “I can’t see that happening. I’m sorry, Jess.”

“Hugh Jackman’s a very close friend of mine,” Bana said, expressing his skepticism about Jackman’s potential casting. “I still can’t see that happening.”

Would Eric Bana Return as The Hulk?

Bana has repeatedly stated that he has no intention of reprising the role of Hulk, as he has always considered the character to be a one-time commitment.

“When I participated in that film, it was prior to the establishment of the Marvel Universe,” Bana stated. “It was a standalone project. The concept of sequels and extended cinematic universes hadn’t been fully realized yet. It never occurred to me that I would revisit that role. Even now, after all these years, it remains improbable.”

Is Deadpool & Wolverine Set in the MCU?

Despite originating in the former Fox universe, Wolverine and Deadpool will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as confirmed by Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy in an October interview.

“I’ve been cautious about revealing details, as I’ve discovered that any information shared, even related to well-known franchises like Marvel, can spark both rumors and inaccuracies. However, I will confirm that this project is firmly rooted within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, granting access to its vast resources and knowledge.”

What Is Deadpool & Wolverine About?

In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Deadpool will team up with Wolverine to alter the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s timeline. The cast includes Morena Baccarin (Vanessa Carlysle), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Stefan Kapičić (Piotr Rasputin/Colossus), and Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in unknown roles. Jennifer Garner is rumored to return as Elektra from the “Daredevil” and “Elektra” films.

“I was honored to craft the Deadpool and Wolverine story, featuring two iconic movie stars in these roles,” Levy said. “It’s not Deadpool 3, but a unique Deadpool & Wolverine adventure. While the first two Deadpool movies were excellent, this film is distinctive, focusing on the duo’s character journey.”

Mark your calendars for Friday, July 26th, as the highly anticipated “Deadpool & Wolverine” hits theaters exclusively. Get ready for an unforgettable cinematic experience!
