Horror enthusiasts can mark their calendars as the highly anticipated sequel to a beloved franchise grapples its way into theaters sooner than expected!
Terrifier 3 has had its release date moved up from October 25th, 2024, to October 11th. This gives horror fans more time to experience the film before the holiday season commences. The new release date also allows Terrifier 3, an indie release, to have more lead time and box office breathing room before Paramount’s Smile 2 premieres on October 18th.
Originally a modest festival-circuit indie film made for under $55,000, “Terrifier” screened from 2016-2017 at festivals, subsequently earning $416,322 from a limited release in 2018.
However, the franchise’s trajectory shifted with “Terrifier 2.” Released in October 2022, the sequel grossed over $15 million at the box office, with a budget funded in part by $250,000 from crowdfunding efforts.

Leone hinted that “Part 2” raises unanswered questions, intentionally setting the stage for “Part 3.” He has a treatment prepared for “Part 3,” which may potentially extend into “Part 4” to avoid creating an overly lengthy film.
