Ross Marquand Talks X-Men ’97, Secrets From Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame

Following his appearance in “X-Men ’97,” Ross Marquand, who voices Professor X, joined ComicBook.com’s “Phase Zero” podcast. The in-person interview covered Marquand’s career, from his role as Aaron in “The Walking Dead” to his Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances, including Ultron in “Avengers: Damage Control,” Doctor Strange in “Multiverse of Madness,” Infinity Ultron in “What If…?”, and Professor X and Doctor Doom in “X-Men ’97.”

Marquand considered leaving acting before booking “The Walking Dead.” While playing Aaron, he secretly filmed Red Skull in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame” in Atlanta. Despite not knowing the project was for the Avengers, Marquand learned the secrets of Red Skull’s scenes and kept them undisclosed for years. He later booked Professor X, inspired by the character in “X-Men: The Animated Series.” Next on “Phase Zero,” Matthew Waterson, Magneto from “X-Men ’97,” will be featured in the Spotlight episode.
